Desmond Kon Zhicheng-Mingdé

a haiku and porphyria’s lover

a tea plantation
the foot of two volcanoes
its valley and home

stop by the edge
of the rainforest of
goddess lilacs

a haiku is a greater coherence

galouti kebab
onions and chickpeas bowled
mint chutney, silver

songs towards winter –

biscuit tin, spoonfuls
your flannel shirt in wrung knots
twig of cilantro

tablecloths, clothesline
your flannel hope
smile across the street

a little more of today
please, compellingly
